Setting Off The ShopLifter Alarm

There isn’t anything more exciting than setting of the “shoplifter” alarm at your local supercenter grocery store! When you shop with your kids you just have to expect that stuff will happen, but setting the alarm off was not on my radar! I had mastered the art of hiding one of my twin boys in the cart and clipping the other one’s baby carrier just above him on the edge of the cart. If I did that and put my toddler in the front, I could shop without drawing the normal crazy amount of attention to myself…most of the time anyway! I was full of pride for surviving a shopping trip without incident as we traveled out the doorway of the store and that alarm started screaming! The greeter immediately began digging through the cart and unknown to me, my 5-year-old had put a DVD in the buggy and it was wedged under the baby seat. After begging and pleading the greeter not to call security and being interviewed by the manager, I took my pint-sized thief and headed home! Just another day in paradise!!
