Jon made an interesting point the other day when we were driving back from Raleigh.
I blog, and now he blogs. Presumably, our friends read our ramblings and keep up with what's going on in our lives. We both do, or have done in the past the same -- read our friends' blogs to keep up with them.
When we do finally get together with friends, though, they've already heard our good stories -- because they read them. So you run into a conversation like this:
Me: You will not believe what happened to Alex the other night...
Friend: Oh yeah, I read about that on your blog -- that sucks!
*pause*
Me: Yeah, that was really bad.
Not that we don't find other things to talk about -- of course we do. But all the juicy stuff is just already covered.
What do you think? Do you find this happens when you blog? Do people tell you they've already read the story you're going to tell them?
